There are books on the Z32, but I suspect that no book has ALL or even the majority of facts about the history, manufacture, design, engine, little quirks, differences bewteen different models etc. etc..

There are many facts revealed on this site about the Z32 which are probably not in any book or easy to find. People like Andy Duff AFAI am aware know loads about the engine workings etc.

We keep finding things out which are not common knowledge and not in the owners manuals.

I think therefore that it would be extremely useful and interesting to try and collate as much info from a technical and non-technical perspective in one document. If it was done well, it could even go into publication and sold in the Z club shop ?

But who would do this ?

Is the OPTIONS book in Japanese ? or do u mean speak to Japanese experts for more info ?

The Options book is the Japanese tuning bible, so to speak..

So it's all in Japanese.. Which isn't very handy :)

How about (this could go in the suggestions forum we have;) ) we have a forum designed to collect all unusual facts/data ? We can have one topic

(or several ) at a time where anyone contributes all they know about it (and people post any criticisms); the results are then converted into aa article which could make up a small section of a book built up from the different paragraphs/chapters.

People who have loads to contribute could email Craig the info.

There is already a site with loads of useful info which somebody on here has (300zx.co.uk)....perhaps that could be used as the basis for expansion/additions ? There is also some useful info already available in here...perhaps use that as the basis ?

As for the Options book, I'm thinking of something for use by people who are not mechanics/engine experts as well as grease monkeys;) .

It sounds like a mammoth task...but how useful/rewarding would it be ?? IT could slowly evolve over time....there would be no time pressures to finish it.

Can we comment on SE & gearboxes ?

Actually, it's a great idea and fits in with Craig's request for contributors to FAQs. It'll take some time I imagine but all it needs is a volunteer. While happy to contribute my limited knowledge, I don't think I can commit to co-ordinating it all I'm afraid.
