temp sensor harness

I bought an engine temp sensor harness from Courtesy to replace my broken sensor connector.

It is a 10 inch length of cable with a grey connector on the opposite end to the yellow sensor connector. Where does this grey connector attach to? If I open up my existing harness will I find a connector, or is it intended to be cut and spliced into the existing sensor harness? Does anybody know or done this themselves? Cheerz

Mines totally nackered too. Bought the part and had it delivered last week. I'm guessing that on later addition models they realised this part gets corroded etc and might need replacement so made it a changeble part. Either that or its from another Nissan with the same connectors etc. Any way, having mine spliced in tomorrow. Old one cut back and finished etc then the new one attaching. Auto Electrician is going to do it for £ 5.00.

Bargain me thinks, let you know after it's done.

Just a quick note, the wires on the harness are the wrong way round to the 300's.

But its a resistor - it doesn't matter which way round a resistor is wired ;)

Cheers. Did'nt look into the detail. Just assumed, everything else seems complicated and over engineered, why should'nt such a simple thing as this! May get it changed agian then for continuity.
