My Zed is running!

After buying my Zed at the end of 2011 with a blown headgasket it went into storage for a while before I began work on it. Turned out it was a bit of a dog once I got into it. So I've given her an overhaul and last night I primed the oil galleries, popped the fuel pump fuse back in and turned her over....

    Biggest feeling of elation when she fired up, I'm a very happy man!

     

    Idle was a bit high for my liking, 2000rpm to start with, which reduced and wandered a bit. Any ideas why? I'll try to boost leak test it tonight.
