Hi guys, my names Tom and I've started to look at the 300's.

Previously had a Stagea Autech 260rs but it was a short lived love affair due to some diesel. So I'm currently down to my 172 Cup and an 86 Prelude.

Always had a soft spot for a 300 so I decided to sign up and start reading. Everyone seems friendly enough and a lot of my questions have already been answered.

Haven't quite decided if importing would be the best route to take at the moment, plus the import companies I've spoken to have given me rough quotes which aren't anywhere near each other.

One thing that is on my mind is that I'm not a short guy at 6' 5" and having never sat in one, will there be enough legroom?

Thanks in advance for any help.

B00m.

What's the difference between a Version S and R? Seen them in the auction houses in Japan, but can find my answer here.

R = 2+2 only, series six only, recaros, red-stitch wheel and knob, side skirts, some form of chassis reinforcement...

S = 2+2 or 2+0 including slicktop, specific style seats (differ by series)...

Mostly just trim levels. Auction houses are often wrong though, the system shows me a "version R" right now which clearly isn't.

Went fishing last night into the waters of the Japanese Auctions.

Sadly the car I went for didn't meet its reserve, which was bit of an anti climax finding out the results this morning.

There really is very little to choose from at the moment.

Alright lads,

Are there any local specialists in the West Midlands or which is the most local?

Cheers

Went to see a 300 this morning and left a deposit.

So I guess I ought to pay for some membership :)

Great buy mate! Lee will be happy to work on that. & I'm looking forward to seeing it when I'm there next week.

So finally the 300 has landed at Lee's, let's wait and see what we find once it's up in the air.

So after owning the car since Monday 2nd Nov, I finally got to drive it!

Speaking to Lee yesterday the car was running at 7psi due to some crossed wires but not only that it is still limited to 112 at the moment.

The drive home was great and effortless.

Thanks to LA Auto's.

Now tucked away for a dry weekend when I can clean it properly and get some decent pictures.
