i think i,d better start saving guys cheers cully:mad:

Someone was on about doing some front and rear u/j 's... There is a post somewhere I read here a cpl of days a go. I read they wanted one for a pattern to make some up. Perhaps someone here can point you in the right direction on this .

Also most people here told me that its not usually the bearing in the centre part of the prop that goes...its usually the rubber AROUND the centre bearing. I have no idea if this part alone can be replaced on its own...so again If someone can help me on that one...

Hello Mate,

Do a search on the old forum that should bring you up loads of information and sources!

Jeff,

What's different ? It's the front half including the bearing that I've got. Does that mean that the NA gearbox is different too ?

Cully,

If you want to try the prop you can just come and collect it sometime.

Andy, the gearbox end is the same but the bracket around the bearing assembly is different in height, the rear diff assembly is different and the alignment of the prop has to be slightly different to take in for this at the bearing carrier.

See links, hard to tell but have highlighted to help

Doh ..link here

Thanks for the clarification Jeff. Better luck next time eh ?

Just as a finale here is a pic of a knackered bearing or reall it is the rubber assembly...Jeff TT

Why thank you for your kind words....maybe it is the workshop skin cream I use....now where is that old engine oil?

Jeff TT

Looks very much like the prop bearing on the Freelander! When I worked at a Lnadrover dealership we changed loads when they first came out and they all looked like that one!:D
