Have been watching this car on fleabay and wondering - how much worse could the rust be?

 

Keen to hear from someone who has tacked this before - FYI I am happy to have arches, sills welded etc.

I havnt seen an arch with that much rust. Looks like the sills gone too so I'd imagine the underneath would be bad. Defo need to view it before you bid.

unless you can do the welding and spraying its the cost add up big time. after all the rust had been done then you will want to spray the whole car just spraying bits of it always loooks crap

If you do decide to view and I hope it's not far.......take a screwdriver :biggrin:.

Save yourself a lot of grief and buy one in better condition. By the time you throw a load of cash at that it would of been cheaper to buy a good one.

Unless you are keen to do the work yourself, the repair panels are available. however as Tom says that arch is bad if the sills are the same its going to be a massive job.

To be honest id leave it where it is.

 

If you are after a good clean NA I know Lee Dent has one with a freshly refurbed engine, low miles no rust and not expensive either drop him a PM on here.

Also says it hasn't been modified so it won't have 280BHP.

Looks like it could have had a shunt because that bumper looks completely out of alignment on the right had rear
