I've got a J spec Z with standard wheels which are the same size in all 4 corners.Does the UK model come with different size standard wheels?I saw somewhere that the rear wheels are bigger, why do the Jap and UK models differ if that is the case?

Also if I wanted to put aftermarket alloys on my car, could I put wider wheels on the back or can I only do that with a UK spec car.

I think wider rear wheels are going to give much better grip, especially when the back ends are prone to slidding!

Cheers,

F.T.

Wider rear wheels in UK were probably because the cars were only restricted to 155MPH. In Japan, they are restricted to about 110-120 MPH I think.

I have a JAP spec and have fitted 18's. 8 1/2 on the front and 10" on the rear, lovely.

Go for it -it totally changes the look of the car.

James.

I heard that 45 profile tyres are not legal in Japan, so they used 225/50's all round. That may only be part of it of course because the Jap cars are also limited to 112mph.

Of course all the NA's have 225/50's all round too.

Blimey......you've got good hearing.

That's why I'm a moderator ! LOL ;)
