I am in need of a good working NA auto box if anyone has one please????

Well you asked about mine before . It was silly cheap and still is but you have to travel to get it, which you were unwilling/unable to do.

Well there might be 4 if Veilside takes his there.

Am i correct in thinking that there are friction plates in the auto box that can disintegrate?

I read up ages ago about dropping the sump on the transmission, cleaning the filter and flushing through with fresh fluid a couple of times to make sure the torque converter also has new fluid in it.....?

 

I am going to use my vacuum oil pump to pull some fluid from the dipstick tomorrow and see what it is like........

I am guessing it is not red anymore......

 

It is Dexron II in the auto boxes ??

I will be getting someone to recondition my old one as a spare when I get it off........ or strip it and see how it works for future reference...... Never seen inside an auto box..... lol

Well I now have a nice replacement transmission due to another superb and friendly member from the club..... Slick Pete........ Absolute star and an asset to this club.... Thank you Pete!

It was lovely to meet you yesterday and hopefully I will get to watch you at 10 of the best sometime......... I just got home before the head gasket on my Saab estate completely gave out...... lol

I now have NO running cars..... Daily driver - DEAD head gasket and engine management light on, My Z - Transmission gone, My wife's Smart for Four - smashed into by a mum from the school last week and has bent rear axle....

 

Time to get out my ROCES quad skates and break something........lol
