Hi all,

 

I've been a regular reader of this forum for some months now, with an eye on getting a 300zx early next year.

 

I'm located in Southend, Essex, and I was wondering whether there are any zed specialists within the south-Essex area, so that I know that when (not if ;)) something is up with my zed then help would be at hand.

I've seen a few tasty zeds around Southend and Basildon so there must be support around there somewhere, I guess, but I dunno where.

 

The nearest Nissan dealer is on Southend - called Toomey I think - but I'll want to avoid dealers if possible.

 

Any help appreciated muchly!

Isnt SE Nissan down your end somewhere?

Dunno. I originally thought they were around here (SE = South East?) but the SE Nissan links in the rides section don't work (pointing at http://www.se-nissan.com). Also, searching on Google didn't result in anything.

They are in Maldon which isn't far from you. MJP are also close by in Brentwood and there is a Toyota specialist (not maindealer) around Rayleigh somewhere and they have a pretty good reputation.

OK, got all that, thanks guys. Seems there is enough zed support closeby for me to be getting on with.

 

Next is to wait for some points to come off my licence in January, after which I might just be able to insure a zed!!!

Yes-it does...............among other things!

We have a few Z owners in southend at the moment.

 

John has had a 300zx for a few years now. He maybe able to point out the best places. Although it seems as AndyP has already done this for you.

 

AndyP where in Essex are you located if you don't mind saying ?.

I live in Essex as well - Billericay (for my sins). I've seen 3 or 4 Zeds around here as well. Never any in Southend though. Then again I've only been a couple of times so that's probably why :D

 

I use Toomey Nissan (main dealer) for my servicing - they're based in Laindon (nr Basildon). I use them for convenience cos they're next to work.

 

They've been OK so far - apart from extortianate labour costs (62 quid an hour) but I've got a waranty so I ain't bothered about that ;)

 

Good luck with the hunting if you wanna hook up next year when youre up and running gimme a shout.

Saw a black zed on Saturday night in Basildon at the Festival Leisure park. It had white HKS and Blitz decals on the side. Anyone on here?

 

As it trundled by me in the car park it looked and sounded LOVELY!!!

cant make the slough meet - prior engagament. would liked to have cruised down in convoy though.:D

Al the mechaninc who works there is brilliant on these, he used to work for nissan when they first came out as an engineer. They also have a consult machine.
