Just reinsured for the year.....What a varied bunch of quotes!

Previous insurer wanted £560 for classic agreed value of £10000, but would not give agreed value if kept on a driveway.

Looked at Multicar with Admiral, but the sales guy told me not to go with them as NO modifications are covered..... was nice to hear an honest " The policy is wrong for you!"

Adrian Flux was very competitive with £330 with agreed valuation of £10000 or £315 without agreed value. Nearly went with them.... But... I had a call whilst getting documents ready for Adrian Flux to take out the policy.....

The winner was 'Classic line' insurance who quoted me £274, Fully Comp, Classic Policy, legal, recovery and windscreen, No third party cover for other cars, but just need to send pictures and fill in the form to get a £10000 agreed value.....

Funny thing is this was with Equity Redstar same as my previous insurer Lynbrook (part of Equity Red Star) who wanted £560??

I swear they just guess a price.......

Now insured so just need to get MOT done and Tax.........

I'm with Classic Line for mine as well, Russ.

£313, all mods declared and the same extras as you (except I'm covered to drive other cars too) :)

Definite lottery Russ regards insurance, my zed is £240 on normal insurance, ie not classic and my company mirrored my NCB for my daily drive, Hyundai coupe v6, the Hyundai was around £540 last year and they wanted the same this year, so i decided to take my zed off the insurance, so my my NCB was used only on the Hyundai and brought it down to £400 fully comp.

Im now going to go classic on my zed, even though its been off the road nearly a year :scared: must get my arse into gear lol

Well missed the MOT station as they closed at 1pm........ Won't go anywhere else as used same place since I was 17......... apart from this year on my daily driver and had grief with the new MOT station....

So no driving till at least next week now....

I used classic line for every zed I have owned as by far are the cheapest option.

I must also say that when talking to them, they are extremely pleasant, friendly and helpful.

As soon as I get another zed I will be calling them straight away and not even going to bother with any of the others!!

Better hurry up and get another Z Dave......... Your gonna get priced out of the market if the prices keep rising like they are........

I am now looking for a cheap 2nd Z or a skyline GT 4 seat thing if I can get a loan to buy one as a daily driver...... I actually a 5 minute walk from my work...... but need boot space for camping gear.... lol

I'm currently with Sky Insurance, but after seeing this I will give Classic Line a call tomorrow.

Initially when I got my Z 6 years ago I went with PerformanceDirect down in Romford but last year for a reason I have forgot (probably price) I left them and went with FluxDirect.

Got my FluxDirect renewal and it was £370, mods declared, etc, but I had PerformanceDirect ring me and he quoted £290.00, this included legal, etc, so this was favourite for a while. Until last night when I went on the PerformanceDirect website to generate a quote, I tweaked this and that, mods, excess, etc and got a price of £203.00.

So this morning I spoke to them and yes got the price of £203.00 through classic/cherished chaucer .

Zero voluntary, compulsory excess is £250.00.

No ncd required on a classic policy.

No legal, breakdown or any other add ons, cannot drive other cars but I've got other car policies for that.

1500 miles, this is 500 more than I have averaged in the last 4 years, so more than enough !!

All these mods declared, some you may think petty but it made no difference on the price.

Very happy with that and recommended, going to fill out the agreed valuation form for £10,000, cost for this is £15.00.

EDIT: Forgot to mention I have a SP50 endorsement, Oct 2011, don't think they bat an eyelid at this though.

Just renewed with Adrian Flux yesterday, I was happy with all my dealings with them. More than you guys are paying but they know about every nut and bolt on my car, I have 7500 miles a year, other cars covered etc.

£719

I'm 25 with a clean licence and no accidents etc.
