Is it worth trying to get this do you reckon guys?

 

With the cars becoming rarer and good examples getting more expensive, if anything happens to my car I want to make sure I'm getting properly compensated.

 

Has anyone else got an agreed value?

 

Or do you just not bother/care?

I don't currently have it but most definitely will when I insure mine. I don't think the market value payout would come even remotely close to the money invested in mine

It's definitely worth it in my opinion. Many classic policies with decent agreed valuations are still cheaper than your average insurance company so it's a no brainer for me.

I've never expected to get a return on the amount invested in mine, but a market value payout for it (and I assume for most others) would be a big kick in the ...! I would recommend getting a quote from Footman James as the price for mine was very competitive and the policy details are excellent.

Absolutely, I have an agreed value certificate with Heritage, you send them pics and a description of the car and mods etc, if they agree you get a cert with the agreed value printed on it. In the event of a claim theres no arguments. You can also resubmit at any time to get a revised valuation should things change.

I will also be seeking an agreed valuation for Zebedee because should the worst happen I know its going to cost me more to replace "him" compared to what I paid.

At present my insurance co will only consider the purchase price so I need to address that soon. Ive joined the Zclub and will pay subs as they offer a valuation service to all paid up members.
