Hey guys, got a unusual question here, I recently purchased a used Z32 clock from japan and I noticed in the photos on the auction site that the clock has a bluish digit colour display;

p><p>
The part number on the clock is 28

After a little bit of research I read a quote on the aus300zx forums by a member who stated that the later model Z32's got the indiglo/green/blue colour clocks just like the Nissan Maxima's did but no physical proof has been posted up proving this.

All of the photos and brochures i have collected regarding information on the later model Z32's, all show white display clocks

But I noticed on the clock today after I opened my package from Japan, the clip points for the front screen all have a small amount of a black tar glue substance covering each point, like it was factory sealed which kinda points to the clock being an unmodified unit which hasn't been tampered with.

I have checked the info on the auction site and all it has listed is that the clock came out a of Z32 but no year or specific information I can use to go on.

Does anyone known or have a factory blue digital clock in their Z, to help prove this is myth to be true or not?

Wow, good research mate, I haven't seen or heard anyrhing but I bet they are the next must have mod for all cars, along with blue glass and 99spec version R Nismo electric window switches

I just checked the clock on my 98 version R and the digits are white. So its either that way from the factory or its been replaced at some point, who knows.

Thanks for the responses guys, I have a feeling this might be a USDM thing and have asked the question to a buddy of mine from the states to maybe shed some light on the clock differences.

I'm helping out and the guy from States! lol.

I believe blue/green clocks were found only in Convertible models. I'm trying to verify this now with a buddy of mine who has a vert. I show only two part numbers for JDM clocks.

25820-40P00 all years

25820-47P00 all years Vert only

USDM is as follows:

25820-30P00 is for 89-07/90 - supersedes to 44P00

25820-44P00 is for 07/90-09/93

25820-46P00 is for 93 Verts also NLA (I wonder if this is still white in color...waiting on my friend to verify with his 93 vert)

The 94-96 vert clock shows NLA and says to us 25820-44P00 but notes there is a color difference.

Haven't found a part# for 94-96 non verts but I own a 96 and it is white in color. Also beginning in 94 all USDM clocks had the reset button removed...so there has to be another part number.

Euro Part#

25820-40P00 all years - same as non vert JDM

Mine looks to be the same.
