Ive removed the bolts, but only to find that the arms are just as tightly held on as they were before  . So whats the trick to get them off then people?

Thanks :)

just wiggle it up & down, the're held on a splined tapered shaft.

Apparently the trick is to lift the wiper arm up to 90 degrees, then push down. (remember to protect your Z though!)

tried that, it is most certainly VERY stubborn.

Also, during the process we managed to remove about 3cm of paint from the edge of the wing at the top, which now needs fixing. What can be done to it for a reasonable price to make it looks slightly white and more importantly stop it rusting?

use a touch up stick, build it up & cut it back with some cutting compound. or find a decent chips repairer.

if the arms are *really* stubbon, in the past i have screwed the nut on a little & got some grips under the arm & on the nut. not tried it on a zed so I dont know how much room there is to get grips underneath

theres very little room under the arms at the bottom :(

so does anyone know a good chip repairer then? :(

Thanx

Clarkey,

I've got a touch up pen (Nissan super white) that I don't need. If you want it, send me your address and I'll post it out to you.

yeah please that would be great, technically the colour is pearl white but its only a very small area nobody would notice the difference. Would be very grateful, I will send you a private message.

Thanx

Clarkey are you trying to remove your wiper arms ?

i did this the other week and mine were a pain in the arse till i figured it out ,

take blade off and nuts ,

put bonnet back down , then pull wiper arm up as if you are gonna change the blade , then just hold the arm while its facing upright and tug it vertically , i sprayed a little wd40 on the joint b4 hand they came straight off then m8
