I'd like to get one of these for the zed when I get the priority jobs sorted, has anyone fitted one? What kind of hub and quick release kit would you need?

The wheel would probably be MOMO or Sparco for me. I think the MOMO Race looks cool - Z32 Zone pic earlier:

Maybe with a Nismo horn button.

Unless there's anything for an OEM wheel?

That is a bit worrying! I think it's a good investment for security though, I'll need it here...

You need a good alarm system mate and a big baseball bat or hurling stick

Will be getting an alarm and immobiliser, maybe a killswitch too, but that's not always enough! Dad's car was nearly stolen from the driveway (where mine will be parked :( ) a few years back despite a good immobiliser, lack of gearbox and half the dash removed...

I reckon a missing steering wheel on top of the rest will be a good deterrent though!

Get a high end Clifford alarm system Dutch, big money but well worth it for peace of mind. I had the Avantguard 750 in my Evo 8, came with Anti-Hijack and Proximity sensors, if someone even went to look in the window it barked out the most annoying sound and scared the bejesus out of them! I used to have a Snap- Off (I think that's what it was called) steering boss on my Williams Clio, bought it in Carnosseur in Kildare ( that'll tell you how long ago ) never had any trouble with it. As long as you take your time putting it on there shouldn't be a problem. I remember getting frustrated a couple of times when I was in a rush for work etc. but normally it was ok to refit the wheel.

Hope this helps.

Ps. Did I see you on adverts looking for original 16" Twin Turbo wheels?? I have a set of Jap ones in the Homeplace, pm me if you're interested.

Yeah I'll be getting a good alarm system first, just thinking of the wheel kit further down the line. Won't be just yet as I have a budget of about €4,000 for VRT, three months tax, tyres and whatever else the car needs. Insurance could be €3,000 so I don't even want to think about that

Already got the wheels from Mark Derby, they're out with Tallaght Powder Coating now. I was only after the wider rears, but thanks anyway :thumbup1:

Came across a local selling a Momo Race wheel with R32 boss and NRG SRK-400BK quick release, any idea if these will fit?

@ dutchgold what year is the car, can u not get classic insurance ?

2000 so probably not, I've heard that one insurer used to do it at 15 years but now 20 seems to be the minimum all around. Plus I'm under 25...

I fitted one from demon tweeks several years back. works perfectly.

had to get the spline welded on the steering shaft.

Dutch have you seen NRG Innovations quick release kits? I'm thinking of getting one with a Momo Millenium Sport myself! Funky Styling do them in the UK.

Yeah I'm getting one soon along with the wheel in my original post. Comes off an r32 GTR so hopefully the boss will fit too. They look pretty good, I'll keep you updated
