I was looking at that myself, decided against it as it's not had an MOT or been out of a garage for over four years. If I had time to look over it properly and add up what it will need (perished rubber being the big one) then I'd take a punt but about £2.2k is all I think I could put into it.

The pictures show it sitting at a petrol station which is odd if there is no mot. So I hope the pictures are recent but worth a look before bidding.

Ring him and get an honest description from him and why its not moted.

An honest opinion is only as honest as the person giving it and personal opinions on "Good condition" vary greatly from person to person. On the face of it it looks like a straight car that could be great, but without seeing myself and with it sat for so long it's just not worth the risk (to me anyway)

By the way I'm not trying to shout the car down, it could be a proper little gem and a bargain.

He is not going to know what the car is like underneath if he cannot be bothered to even take photos of the car in daylight
