hello winnie

i just bought a belt from the local Nissan garage, I think it was 45 quid plus VAT. Ihave been told its 4 and a half hours book time but i cant say about the dealers labour rates etc as i wouldnt touch them with a bargepole.

Some of the guys on here buy parts from http://www.courtesy.com in america as well.

Hope this helps John Crisp

Winnie,

If you are doing the cam belt its worth doing all the others at the same time as you havt to take them off anyway to get to the cam belt. Have a word with Jeff at ZedWorld, he's about to do my belts and for the amount of work involved his prices arent bad.

I pretend to work, they pretend to pay me!

Definately do the other bits as well:

Waterpump

Water hoses

Thermostat

Try Andy Duff, z32@btinternet.com as well for a price, he did mine and it hasn't blown up yet :D

It look like if you order the kit from courtacy then your looking at 320 - 350 delived and after you have payed the tax.

then you need to get a qoute from a trusted machanic. I was qouted 8 hours but my chap is 15 quid an hour. So im looking at around 450!!!!

...do it yourself - only took me 16 hours over a weekend. Never done one before, scared to death all the way through the proceedure - but it's fundamentally easy, just loads to take off to get at it and loads to put back on when you've finished.

good luck
