The boxes for NA and TT are identical apart from the bell housing and looking at that one the housing looks thicker, so i would say its for a TT

Hi mate are you saying it's a tt box not a na as the garage is saying its na box

Ok just looked back at your posts, you have a TT, was the gearbox originally on the car when you bought it or have you converted from auto?

Either way the same box, if you have an NA box with a TT flywheel then a small portion of the bellhousing needs grinding to avoid catching the flywheel.

If it was already fitted and working, then no reason for the garage to try and sell you a different one.

Hi Graham no it's a manual I bought it off noel I think it was a auto before as when they did the timing belt it had a auto rad an it doesn't have the pipe that runs a long the right inner wing thanks Stephen

In that case have the rear crank seal done and tell em to refit your existing box as it was.

The pipe on the drivers wing would have originally been the clutch bleed point, often done away with when doing an auto to manual conversion, Noel would have used a master to cylinder hose, ie direct from the clutch master cylinder to the slave on the gearbox.
