Coming soon in Dublin...

Finally got a car at auction yesterday! It's a 2000 reg GZ32 version R with ~120,000km on it. Needs some very slight tidying but looks like a solid zed. Wasn't really after an NA or anything in red, but I couldn't say no to this car! Maybe down the line I'll look into a TT conversion - or maybe not; must be other ways I can make up to 60-80bhp without the complexity.

Anyway, my name's Jay and I'm a software engineer from Dublin. I've been after a Z32 for about a year and a half now, having moved away from previous dreams of Skylines and RX-7s. Looking forward to some fun years to come - even as an NA I'm sure it'll feel lightning fast compared to my 90bhp (originally) mk1 Mégane coupe!

More importantly, some photos (should get better ones in the next few days):

On the subject of rising costs, here are my observations from the previous three cars I've bid on in the past month or so. I went for high-end ones, so this may not be entirely reflective of the market.

PS: I don't have a version R fetish, they just happened to be the nicest cars :)

On another note, just spotted a white Z there an hour ago! Drove past the office - looked like an early slicktop.

Hi and welcome, yes it was probably me, I only put her back on the road 1st of April, stupid road tax, where is your office based, I would be mostly around ? Lucan, Leixlip, Clondalkin, Naas rd., my sister also has one which will be back on the road 1st of May, and with RIchie in Carlow I feel a mini meet coming on.

Cheers, sounds like a plan.

The office is in Parkwest. I'm in D15 so not too far either really.

Are you driving yours at the moment? Last month I went to "Cars and Coffee" at Cherrywood, first Sunday of the month, always some lovely cars there

Nope, won't be here until around June 10th. :( Should be driving it straight away although I'll only have third party cover until my insurance policy is up in August, so I'll be a bit iffy about where I take it!

Maybe you should focus on something other than the wheels man. :p

Great I look forward to seeing it, I know a very good alarm guy at a good price, did mine and another, grat a doing a killer hidden switch, I also know a very good mechanic, in Clondalkin Nangor Rd, works on mine and my sisters, skylines, builds engines/cars, would be happy to even put it up on the ramp for you some evening to have a look around underneath, no charge,

I know the feeling, have I met you in the dim and distant past?

Yeah I'll be looking to have a decent security system fitted first off, then get it wax oiled, so if you have any recommendations for those or also for insurance that'd be helpful :) Mechanically I should be alright!
