As above...I'm also looking for a new MAF sensor. Has anyone looked at these? eBay link Seem reasonably priced to me just wondered if anyone had had anything from this seller before?

This listing is not for an original nissan part (made in japan by jecs) its not a Bosch part either. Read the listing carefully. It gives the impression that it's bosch.

Your car will most likely have running issues with a non original MAF.

EuroCarParts sell Bosch parts and cheaper chinese pattern parts, I have always had running issues with the chinese parts. I wouldnt bother with it although it's very tempting.

Is that a new one Mark? And is there only one available as if so Paul has dibs before me for his mate. I had a used one from Zedworld a few years ago which is the one that has failed which is interesting because it has done about 200 miles if that. I aren't sure if there is a moisture issue with them. Has anyone ever taken one apart to see what goes wrong with them?

That's absolute madness. Why are they so much more for the 300zx than anything else eg my a3 had a genuine Bosch new one for £130ish. There must be money to be made if somebody could find a way of refurbishing the duff ones. Mark- I'll give Paul chance to see this thread and see if his mate wants your MAF...if he doesn't I'll have it. Cheers.

My mate seems to have dropped off the face of the earth, if you guys wouldn't mind giving him a couple more days I would be grateful, sorry to mess you about.

I bought an OE Siemens/VDO maf for a Vauxhall £35 brand new from Eurocarparts. Boxed in GM packaging. You're right, it's way too expensive for Nissan parts.I have heard of otther Mafs being used on zeds. (Ford F150 truck- an upgrade as it's a larger diameter. It must be possible to replace the jecs with a Bosch or whatever)

Been in contact with my mate and he has found a maf local to him, so he no longer needs Marks one, sorry to mess you people about.

Having had a few hours free this morning I have had a look at my car and found that the reason the car would not start intermittently and the PTU would get really hot was that the ECU plug wasn't connected squarely. Correcting this also seems to have stopped the wondering idle and it will rev over 2.5k now. After I had been messing around with it abit the postman arrived with the multimeter and diagnostic cable I had ordered from eBay which confirmed the MAF seems to be working now and was registering a reading on ECUtalk.

That being said...if you were relying on the sale to me and nobody else is interested Mark let me know how you want paying and I'll have it as a spare.
