Tried to fix my broken lock on the drivers door this morning and found the root cause - a broken rod and connector in the bottom of the drivers door. Cut my hands to shreds to get to them, but where they go is a pig of a place to access. Thus I might as well just replace the whole door. I don't suppose any knows / has drivers and passenger doors in silver? Not really wanting any other colour as will then have to do a respray!

Don't understand your comment in red .

That's easier then is it than getting the small parts you need to sort the locks/handles out ?

If you did purchase doors then there's no guarantee the locks/mechanism is all sound !!

Then there is keys, unless you were going to migrate over the barrels - even more work :confused1:.

Cutting your hands to bits is a badge of honour btw .

The issue is that it is this bolt that is broken. It is located behind the far most right hand side of the door metal and as it holds the tensioned rods to unlock/lock the door (via central locking) I cannot see how even child size hands could get to it. I went to a scrapyard in Dorch that has a 94 N/A LWB in blue today and after removing the door card on this Zed, found a completely different configuration to my 93 Zed. In the rain, I managed to remove the mechanism from this 94 N/A since I am sure some parts of it will be useful (and the chap sold it to us for a tenner), but unless there is a trick way of accessing this part of the outermost RHS of the door, it is going to be a pain to sort out.

You could undo the main latch assembly and pull it up and out that way?

Yes will give it a go over the Easter weekend - when it's not raining! There must be a way - will have to google it also.
