Guys I was involved in a car accident this Saturday and the Zed is no more :( some twat pulled out in front of me, and now the zed looks like a squashed kebab! So by the time I see any insurance money and by the time I find another zed, I might as well sell the

bigger intercoolers I bought for them, they have never been fitted or used so are spanking new, they cost £500 I'm willing to let them go for £440 no offers, as you know bigger intercoolers for the zed start off at £600 and upwards.

I will be selling the both front seats and rear seat as a set, driver

side is electric, there is a slight cut on the side of the drivers seat, hence I'm only looking for £450 ono.

 

The ECU has been socketted and has a SE Chip fitted at the moment, has fuel maps good for 14 psi, looking for £350

 

Also have the Sun Blinds, targa bags, and luggage blind.

Also forgot, I will be taking the HKS Exhaust off, it a single outlet

Super Drager version, only 2000 miles of use, fitted 4 months ago approx, cost £650 will sell for £390

How much for the targa bags ?

Really feel gutted about the loss of the zed, saw it at the recovery depot, lucky the zed is a strong car probably saved my life.

 

YGM Ronnie, Brian Ronnie will have first refusal. They are the intercoolers from Warrens group buy, based on the HKS design.

Thanks guys for the sympathy, my neck is getting better, always "clunk click" it saved my life. yes will defo get another Zed, the only other car I was considering was a TVR Tuscan but thats a bit out of my price range at the mo. Once I get my money I might import a swb TT manual.

No worries Mac Man , lets hope I can get enough money together soon so I can get back into the zed fold again.

Stuart the car is a write off major chassis damage , the engine hasn't been inspected yet, it might salvagable, but I have a feeling it took most of the force.

Sh1t Marc, thats my worst nightmare! But like Mac said at least your ok. Hope you do well on the insurance.

firstly, i didnt complain at all, Gio mentioned it.

 

secondly, i said that the subscribed members ought to help decide what happens on the forums, as they paid for it, but they dont.... check the number of replies on the vote thread.

 

thirdly, Marc lives round the corner to me, and Warren had already told me about the accident and that Marc was okay.

 

fourthly, if Marc was not okay, the last thing he would have put in his 1st post was "intercoolers for sale"

And whilst we're not being picky .... the header of the post did say "Intercoolers for Sale", not "Lunched my Zed" ... so I think most of the replies are in keeping with the theme, before someone further down sidetracked it a bit ;) LOL

Firstly - glad you're okay Marc, its testomony to the Zed that a 10 year old car can take a whack like that and you walk away okay.

 

Being brutal - have you sorted the salvage rights? If its that bad you may get the money and they get to squash the Zed, if the assesor (Sp.?) says its got to be crushed you might be in for a battle.

 

If in doubt I would check soonest.

Thanks Craig, yes the zed is a tough car, just got the car back from the recovery people and is now presently at the back of my flats.... and guess what the engine still runs perfectly apart from the squashed hoses... unbelieveable!!!!

Well guys as I'm Third party fire theft I own the salvage rights, soon as the third party assesor comes round to declare it a write off, I will let you know. Then I will get my mechanic to lift the engine and gearbox out.

Sorry to hear the bad news.

 

Not sure of the specifics but don't you need to await settlement before stripping the car ? If the other person pulled out on you then their insurance company is presumably going to struggle to not pay out and then they will own the salvage unless you buy it back.

 

It's a pain because these things take so long but be careful - they may refuse to pay if they can't inspect the car in it's "post accident" state.

 

Hope you manage to get back in a Z soon.
