Well, what can I say - I've just spent 30 minutes reading your whole thread.. Epic mate. Big round of applause for your engineering skills and perseverance. The satisfaction it's given you must be immense. I would love to jump in for a ride once you're happy with the setup etc. As for me, I took the easy option and bought an E46 M3 CS. I was about 30 minutes away from buying a Porsche Cayman, but it sold before I got there, so I came home with the BMW instead.. Just scratching a few car itches now.. Need to tick off V8, V10 & V12.. Although the V8 and V10 will probably be the most fun.. I'll miss my Zed, but I won't miss the hassle of looking after an old car! I'll be keeping in touch with the new owner to see how he gets on! Anyway, great work Adam - I'm glad to see this forum is still inhabited by guys with skill and backbone in equal measure!

you been down the evo route? i know you had an r32 which must have been pretty cool. I would love an aui quattro....but as you know, prices aint low.

 

Your more than welcome for a trip buddy, you did after all persuade me to get a manual conversion in my previous zed so pretty much owe you that much. Probably the most eventful drive ive ever been on tbh haha.

It is, of course, a manual! And yes, would be tempted by a Scooby or an Evo eventually - but I like RWD best.. Did you say you're based in Lincoln now? It's only a quick blast up the A46 from Leicester.. We should meet up some time!

 

yes im not far from baz ;) and his zed's so we should meet up deffo buddy. im off the week after next to could be a good time for me. You should deffo look into the evo scene if youre looking to dip your toes into different cars. They are awesome beasts.
