Hey folks. Long time no see and all that. I've got a family car now and missing my Zed. I'd like to get another one if circumstances permit.

Anyway... some folk I know on a motorcycle forum are on about taking their cars to Santa Pod for a RWYB day. Has anyone got any suggestions on how we co-ordinate ourselves on the day? No one really knows anyone other than on-line. How do you meet, is it worth setting up a gazebo or similar, do mobile phones work ok there (what baout internet on them)? I remember a lot of the day when I went was spent queueing up for the strip, which makes it harder to get people together.

Any suggestions for organising / co-ordinating would be great. I remember some good meets including some at Santa Pod back in the days when I had my Zed.

Yes, plus a banner/sign. Its a big place and can be quite busy even on a RWYB day.

Coverage can be patchy. Even with coverage working noise in background does make conversation difficult at times.

Correct! Its probably worse now then when you came in the 300ZX.

If you are going to the Pod to get some runs in up the trip then its difficult to combine socialising with it.

Are there never opportunities to get a few runs in on a quiet time? Like a weekday etc?

Nope!

Doesnt operate during the week.

Yes, there are four such days this year. There have been for many years now. Check out the Santa Pod website.
