Will order tues or wed, let me know what you want. I can chuck it on my plastic for the time being!

I won't be posting again now, anything under this post will be ordered!

Price & part numbers would be handy but not essential.

I may need a new front n/s hub as Nissan are trying to press out a wheel bearing for me and it may damge the hub. Usual story hub is alloy...bearing is steel...not a good combination!...Its all corroded together.

Ill let u know by Monday Morning.

I need to do the cam belt, but is the whole kit really needed. All the belts look new on me motor????

Can you fit that on your card? LOL.

Mike

...all my belts looked ok - you could (still can) read the blue Nissan writing on them. But because it's a jap import (no history) I changed the timing belt only. I had to do 'it' again 6 months later to sort a leaking water pump.

Didn't do the 'other' stuff as it all looked ok, and I maintain that the 'other' stuff is only done for 2 reasons... bits are cheap in America so why not, and, it takes such a long time to get down to the timing belt that you might as well do everything else while you are down there (only applies if you are paying a mechanic).

So, if you are keen on DIY, save yourself some money and only replace the belt.

good luck

Jack

Ok you scumbags, ordering tomorrow, so far its just Tony with his brake pads!

Read this morning that if you join ttnet and quote your membership number you get 25% off, sounds good to me! see how nice I am for passing that on? (and the person who said it before but can't remember who it was)

I have joined today and they said my membership number would be sent to my e-mail, but nothing yet.

Hmmmm, just phoned Courtesy for a price for a few bits, let them give me a price and THEN mentioned the ttnet membership thing (ie 25% discount) he said the price had taken into account the discount.

Suspect I reckon!

Do they not know that if they heat it up it will come out easier??? The alloy should expand more than the steel as they heat it up and suddenly its a slack fit - suggest this to them ;) Although ANY decent mechanic should know this....
