Holy ****... Question though. The ground clearance underneath will be terrible won't it?

Would never run the car this low ever. But like to have the job done correctly to be able to lower a car without any rubbing. To house the 12j wheels wrapped in 315/30/18 tyres.

This pic is from a few months a go; )

Ah right, have you put any thought into increasing the height of the strut tower in the rear? Give you some more travel on the damper?

That's a good idea but for now I'm gonna go with the stock position. Have you done anything to you're struts?

The car since this pic has moved on a lot!

One side is nearly completed the body work is completely made out of metal no fibreglass to be seen.

We have tried to keep the look as oem as possible maintaining the stock lines as such.(No bubbly arches) I wanted the car to look like it had rolled off the production line keeping the body smooth but also trying to keep it all up to date with today's modern cars.

I haven't no. The thing that got me thinking about it was that my coilovers on the rear are maxed out. After seeing a few golfs etc with this done and escorts etc with conversion work done and looking at the stock strut tops in the boot it dawned on me it's very possible to do and retain a factory look. You could gain a fair few inches. However the geometry will obviously become increasingly more complicated.

You stuck with one teaser pic.cas even the place were the work was done are under instructions not to release this top craftmanship pics.so werell have to wait.

thinks we need some more pressure.pic pic pics.more more

I guess this helps explain why you're thinking of changing the body colour, Dan!

I'm rather interested to see some more pics myself :)

Nice, you need to consider geomaster hubs if you're going to go seriously low and want to keep some suspension travel and handling ;)

Yup. The height adjustment is as far down as possible. So I either change the coilovers again for something lower, change the spring to a shorter one or simply remove the tender spring. None of which solves the issue that the damper might bottom out like that. Bit of thinking to do.

Looks like your going to end up with something special there mate. The only thing I never like about a lot of these wide arched cars is the front just does not match up IMO, creating a wedge.

Thanks for the nice comments it's definitely going to be different!

I'm with you on that one Stephen the front has also had some work to even it all out. No wedge :)

Dan your a star.loving pics like that.to see all that quality workmanship go into his car.looking bloody cool .u nutter.
