Hi ... I have after market gauges (temperature) and was wondering if it is possible to use one of the sensors on the front coolant pipe? Obviously this will render my stock temp gauge not working. Which one do I use? If this is ok to do. Coolant or water temp? I would have to block off the hole with a bolt of some kind. Or would it be advisable to leave them in situ and buy a new sensor for my after market alloy adapter which goes in between the left hand rubber rad pipe.

Coolant temp = water temp.

Temp sensor for the gauge is the single prong sensor, don't touch the other one, it's used by the ECU.

Buy a sensor for your alloy adaptor.
