Well the tt engine here so 1st job compression test on it if all ok with numbers I'll start breaking the engine down and replace gaskets and seals new injectors and hoses also the candy paint here looks nice just waiting for the rest to turn up and got too pay for some gear next wk happy days

Looking good Ted, but may i make a suggestion.... I too polished my cam cover pipes as in pic above, but after a while they tarnish and oxodise and will look awful after a few months, i would paint them as im am going to with mine. They will not stay looking that good for very long lol, even if you try and keep polishing them.

Now Iv got a dilemma still no turbos 4 more wks prolly tunnel her next wk and I'm off for 9 days the wk after so do I go with my engine and pull her so I can do the respray and put that back or miss the summer and wait decisions decisions

Right started putting the power stering pump on damaged bolt nice now the question is can I use my n/a power stering pump instead of a tt one image.jpg

If you have your hicas removed you can use the NA pump, you will also need to do something with the pulley or belt, cant remember which as the TT pump is slightly prouder/bigger.

Going to do a compression test today and put numbers up with photos to see if all good also paying out for new front and rear vented discs and sorted some other turbos so paying for them too that's my pocket money spent this month

Right did the compression test 1=25. 3=25 5=25. 2=25. 4=30. But 6=0 but there compression there ?image.jpg now am I stuffed here and it was done by hand

You can't do a proper compression test by hand.

Take out the fuel pump fuse, turn the engine over with wide open throttle for at least ten revolutions lol

image.jpgWell put some oil down the spark plug now got compression back apart from no 6 but gone from 25-30 to 50 on the 1st turn of the ratchet
