I think if your engine if like that, you'll have running issues lol

Poss a bit of vac leake and water loss it be fine

You spraying it yourself again? I love polished plenums but for me it's just way too much upkeep, that's why've went with a black one stats tidy easier.

Yes mate but this time I'll take my time and take wings bonnet doors and the bumpers all off and as the engine out in side the engine bay no rush this time

I think I'm going to do mine myself as well, I'm going to wait till I've got a garage though first.

Looking forward to seeing it done Ted, my mate looked at doing his car in candy red, make sure you do plenty of research on the net beforehand as it's apparently a bit of a pain to do

Looking forward to see your end result I like the col you picked for car nice :) I looked at one of those canvas type garages but where i live it wouldn't stay up for long :( the wind blew my shed over last year lol

Iv just ordered 3 lots of tarpaulins 18x12 and 8x timber that will please the neighbours putting that up

As for the bodywork if im about when you do i dont mind giving you a helping hand mate. The first thing that you face is gettin rid of that celli single pk paint that you put on there.with this type of paint especially a pearl.its all in the prep.your going to need a really decent two pk primmer to block down and poss a sealer to stop solvent attack. When you thinking of doing. I have a decent gun you can borrow ect.

Cheers for the bud I haven't got a clue when I'm doing the paint I'll be just take a wks holiday I deff need a sealer as she been done 2 times before this time I'm not going too rush it not like last time as I wanted it done for coventry witch was my goal at the time gun wise iv got 3-4 here 0.8 and 4.0 gravity feed so I'm good on them 1st job is the engine sort her out

Same here mate, tried to get her ready for Coventry and it was rushed, got a few niggles to sort out and of course the engine rebuild, so similar position to me lol.

As far as polishing the plenum, mine needs doing again as it has been neglected  but what i will say after the NEC car show, i have discovered that most of us ( me ) have been doing it all wrong, so i have bought a new system for polishing that will need very little maintenance and will shine for years to come.

A clue: you have to think of the chemical composition of Ali and the timing of the polish after sanding and the natural oxidisation to cure :thumbup1:
