Anyone used this? Lots of Chinese Z32 parts for competitive prices.

From what I understand you approach sellers and negotiate a price, ie everything a group but waiting to happen.

You can get just about anything on alibaba. Haven't used it myself though..

How does it work exactly?

You use the search for what you want to buy and then contact the suppliers to get a price inc delivery to the UK.

Easier that Ebay just make sure that the price you are quoted is for the number you want to buy, some suppliers have minimum quantity of 1000.

Yeah I see that, seems you can get some serious bargains esp if you want more than 1

Do you have to have a registered business to use it? It seems to be asking for my business reference with the local government?

You can put out a request for what you need and the suppliers will get back to you with their prices. Majority of them do have a minimum order purchase. I've registered with them and don't remember putting any business details down although I might have.

Hey mate, I used to import loads of stuff every month from there. The trick is establishing a good relationship with the supplier you want. There is an alibaba messenger thing which they all use where you chat, and you can pretty quickly tell which suppliers will be good and which wont. Get some quotes through, and go from there. I used to pay via paypal for the protection. Still in touch with one of my suppliers after a few years, trying to negotiate the manufacture and import of various Zed parts such as double din center console, and 99spec bumpers with a couple of factories my contact knows!...

 

I used to do it as an individual, not through a business. Just speak to the sellers directly, get photos of the products etc, then get them to invoice you and voila. :)
