It's been reported that Lynda Bellingham (the Oxo mum, for anyone who's not familiar with her) has passed away following a battle with colon cancer.

She may not have been a huge star or anything like that, but what makes this incredibly sad for me is that she recently decided to stop all her treatments for cancer in November as she wanted to effectively choose when she died. With that in mind, she wanted to die in January next year as she wanted to have one last Christmas with her loved ones.

So very sad that she didn't live to achieve what I think was a very noble and touching last wish. :(

RIP Lynda.

Very sad indeed!

I watched her on the BBC breakfast show only a couple of weeks ago, explaining her choices, so stoic and strong for her family in the face of a terminal outcome.

So sorry she didn't make her Christmas, but she leaves a great TV acting career as her legacy.

RIP Lynda.

Sad news. She was a honey, from seeing her as Terry's girlfriend in Minder nearly 30yrs ago, right upto her last tv appearances she was lovely. R.I.P.
