Sorry mate, I couldn't justify keeping it - insurance and running costs would cripple me on top of house costs. :(

Not keep mine sir, but i could free you up some wanger, now. then you can sell mine as well.

This means you get some cash now and also have an cheaper car to sell on. 1991 TT manual Jap import 51K miles

Ok,

At what milage was it imported????

Have you got the documents to show at what milage the spedo was converted???? E.G. Has it been in the UK for 85 miles + X amount of K's

Have you got all the service history since it was imported????

Like every oil change ect???

When is it MOTed till.

What are the tyres like??? How warn.

Would you mind an AA inspection.

Is it chipped or anything similar.

What's a 99 front bumper look like?

When was the cam belt done???

Hmm think that's it for now!!!

I have two ways to go see sir. Spend 2K on mine making it reliable and look good!!!! Cam belt to be on the safe side, wheels etc. Or buy yours!!!!

I'll look at all the docs tonight and get back to you ASAP mate, don't have all those details here at the moment!!

Other than -

MOT until September (the 9th I believe),

Tyres - all in excellent condition, loads of tread left

AA inspection - no problem

Chipped - no, just filter and exhaust

99 front bumper - http://www.300zx.co.uk/rides/martinfa/newfront.jpg - this also shows the vented headlight panel that I have fitted to mine too.

Loads of service history for Japan and UK, although not every oil change as done by previous owners, not garages (not sure whether others on here do the same, it's an easy job really.) I do have a receipt from the most recent change though, as I didn't have time to do it myself.

I'll get back to you about the other bits.:)

hi Andy,

Sorry I haven't replied for so long, first time I've checked my internet mail and been on here for months!!!!

I cant believe you are selling her!!

For those that dont know Senna bought the car from me many moons ago!!!! Its been the only car I've ever wanted back, and as Glen would tell you, theres been a fair few!

Andy, What car are you getting next, obviously one which is cheaper to run I presume???.... I sent you a mail anyway...

cheers

Chris

replied already ;)

Next car - probably a nice sensible Pug 306 diesel (nice and fuel efficient to keep costs down) Probably with an auto g'box too becuase they're cheaper to insure than manuals.

Sure you dont fancy a nice 6 speed M3 Evo?????:) She's gotta go and I'm selling her about 2500k less than book.....

Chris

Mr cfoster did you own her from the first point of import!!!!!!

If so do you no about how the Speedo was converted????

Always a sketchy area on imports I find!!!!!

Cheers Andy.

If you have proof of the milage then i may be very interested.

Im not sure how the conversion works, but the milage/k counter is seperate to the speedo isn't it.

A dealer i was talking to when i first looking said he would switch it for 0000000 and then give me a document staing the K's when converted.

The cam belt age, refers to the 60000 miles bit of every 4 years!!!! So would need a reciept on that one.

Also any security on board and what about sounds.

chris - no way I could afford that (I'm only 22!!)

Mike - I know I have the receipt for the cambelt change, with date and mileage so I'll check tonight.

Thats cool andy.

Need the milage info as well, else it may have one like 120K miles or something

Just an observation ...

If I :

a) knew the last owner of a car

b) had the ability to search a technical forum on which they would have posted every problem they ever had

c) had the same for the previous owner

d) had the same for the owner before that

then I'd think I'd been re-born into 'History Heaven' !

If I was in the market for this car (and I really wish I was) then I'd value that far more than any receipts.

Think about it !

Dave

Good call sir.

Anyone no the user names of previous owners???????

Cool!!!!

Andy, cleared this with the Misses.

My email is michael.westerby@genzyme.com

I can view it Saturday and leave you a deposit and pick it up later in the week. Im looking at say 7-10 days from now to turn the money around.

If that's any good to you and you don't mind answering a ton of question (I already own a zed) then I think we have a deal sir.

Let me know about the time scales and if there no good ill go and get depressed and drunk!!!!

Cheers.

Mike.

Do a search its all there, I thought the car was detonating when I had it because I had never even heard detonation and after reading too much about it on twinturbo.net I got all paranoid.

The car has 85k of well loved miles on it, I personally changed the oil every 2500-3000K and used only Redline F/S (bloody expensife).

Tim should be ashamed making comments like that, he doesnt have a quibble with AndyD (and he dont wanna either the bloke is bigger than big!;) ) and should not be making false representations about a car he has never even heard running.

If you want details on this car PM me your number and Ill call you, its a beautiful car.

If you want pix let me know, I loved this car more(that is MORE MORE) than my Skyline and if i'd have it back at £9K if I could justify it.

Go and drive it. Guarantee you'll buy it.

Good luck.

Good call Dave, seemed so obvious it would be easy to overlook :)

Sorry you got to sell Andy, and sorry I forgot the pictures - been way to busy as usual.

Someone is going to get a bargain.

Good luck,

Senna, were you the first owner sir? In the UK?

All that worries me is, if it says 85K on the clock. What about the K's it did in Japan?????

Do you see what i mean??

Thanks

I think Chris did the clock change and the odemeter was set to the equivalent in miles that the Japanese odemeter read in Kilometers, I would put my house on the fact that this car hasn't lost any miles.

The service record IIRC showed that the car had the clocks changed at around 65000ish Kilometers.

Its straight mate;)

Sounds a minter!!!!

Hmm now where's Andy!!!!

Hmm hope i havent missed it, now ive got it in my system!!!!

Oh Oh, I too hope I don't miss out on it...

Currently trying to sell everything I own to raise some xtra cash for the car. I would consider selling my body too, but when you can't even give it away for free aint no chance that someone's gonna pay for it!!!

Hmmmmm, anyone know any real desperate, rich girls???

I'm here now!! Long night in the office, didn't get home until gone 11

Right, I can't find details of the speedo conversion, but the last major service before Glen bought it was at 112,000 (ish) km's, which is approx 70k miles - the speedo is now reading 86,150 ish miles, so I am assuming that the conversion was done (as mentioned by Glen) as a straight conversion form KM to Miles rather than resetting the clock to 0000000.

If the clock was reset to 0000000 that would mean it had covered iro 70k miles in a year and a half which seems a little unrealistic on the Isle of White.

The cambelt change was done on 12.6.00 at 109,873kms.

Think that's about all I know at the moment, as others have said, there's probably more history on this 'ere board than in my folder at home (unless you can read japanese)

I had the car before Senna and purchased it from a chap who had it imported by a dealer.... I saw lots of photos before I bought it - even when it was on the crate!!! It looked a bit different as the chap changed a few bits....

I can tell you it is genuine mileage, and if I can raise the cash quickly I will buy it back.

I had the speedo converted by SE Nissan when I purchased it, I also had a CAT1 alarm fitted. I also changed the trim to the alcantara stuff rather than that horrible tweed!! I spent a few quid on other things but can't remember what they were!!

The speedo conversion was properly done by them and the mileage was adjusted accordingly - not reset to 0000000. I had it for some time and I didn't have 1 problem, I dont think Glenn had any problems either....

I have thousands of pics of the car, and I'd imagine Glenn has them to because this is what he used to buy it! The first time he saw it was when he picked it up!!!

If someone beats me to it, then I know you'll love it....

Chris
