Ever since selling my black TT, I've regretted it every single day!

Was tempted to bid on a grey one on eBay a minute ago as it was local to me but it just didn't tickle my fancy enough even though it went for just over £1400.

I've had my eye on a red one which I've chatted to the owner about a few time over the last month. It was up for grabs a little while ago but then was taken off sale (which I was the highest bidder on :() because the owner went on holiday.

Its now back on auction and I really want it, annoying thing is that it is on the other side of the country.

Here's a link to it...

Does anyone know this Zed or live local and would be willing to have a look for me please?

You are kidding, right? :saddam:

When I wanted to buy mine I was looking on Ebay (US) and Craigslist and figuring no matter what I was probably going to have to fly somewhere and drive it back to Montana. With my luck, it could have been in Florida (2,800 miles by road).

But I ended up finding mine in Hamilton Montana, about 45 miles from where I am typing this post.

1993 TT, pristine leather interior, Cherry Red Pearl and immaculate body and paint. (I won't mention the deferred maintenance items that had to be dealt with...)

Only bad thing (I thought) was it was an automatic. As other people have pointed out to me having an auto turbo is pretty nice for acceleration, you never lose boost for gear changes.

The UK isn't that bad by comparison.

We don't do internal travel in this country. We travel outside ALOT Brits fly all over the world all the world and are generally pretty well traveled. However, yeah internal travel not so much. This is because our transport system is crap, trains are expensive long winded and always unpredictable. The road network is constricted and congested, not to mention the cost of fuel and the inconsistency. To give you an example, to travel to London gatwick from my home is 116 miles, that takes around 2 or so hours, that's not too bad, I can do it in 1.45 quite often but it regularly will take more like 2.5 hours. To reach Redruth in Cornwall is around 170miles not much further but takes nearly four hours on a good run, that's an average of 40mph! I travelled to the other side of Britian a few weeks back, bournemouth to Glasgow it took me about 17 hours door to door, to go there and come back I was in Glasgow for 2 hours... That was by aeroplane as well. That's why we moan, it takes about a month to get a mile.

Obviously I'm sure America has it's issues with transport but it's a nation used to travel. When we go to Europe it's really highlighted how bad our transport services are, driving from mine to Scotland and driving clear through France arnt massively different timescale wise, and France is pretty big.

No I'm not kidding.

Firstly, I'm not a very well off person, my wages haven't gone up now in 4 years and due to the shit state of this country and the price of everything rising, my savings have dwindled to next to nothing so I can't really afford to just drive up and down the country to just go and look at cars that could turn out to be piles of shit.

Secondly as Stephen stated the internal transport system in the UK is ****! If I wanted to take the train to see this Zed I would have to travel for around 6 hours and still would end up about 40miles short of its location, not to mention that it would cost me over half a weeks wages.

If I am lucky enough to belong to such a fantastic club that the other members are happy to help and offer a non tainted personal view then I am more than happy to except the help and extremely grateful too.

Chin up fella. The tide is turning, I personally see much better growth now than even two years ago, as long as we don't get some Nit Witt that ruins the economy AGAIN we will be ok. Even the minimum wage us going up to be more in keeping with the living wage. Sooner or later we will get some money back.

that car has been for sale for a long time, its either new owner selling or previuos owner just changing the pics as they were deffo different pics last time

not sure if thats any help to you
