Yeah, ok, I admit that's a cheesy title for a thread. But it's no less true.

The committee, NEO's, and REO's can sit here and organise shows based on what we think the members want, but there's no guarantee we will get it right.

And whilst we can't please everyone, as NEO I am keen to ensure that all members get their say in how they want shows in the future to take shape.

So give me your thoughts and ideas.

What national shows do you want to see the club attend?

Do you have a local show you would like to see a small club stand at?

Please remember that the phrase "Use it or lose it" applies quite significantly here.

If REO's are putting time into arranging a club presence at a show, then no one shows interest, then that REO is going to struggle to maintain enthusiasm for his role here.

So in return for taking on board your suggestions and ideas for the future, I would like your support in the form of attending local meets and coming to the shows.

I have a rough guide of the 2015 shows that I will post up later.

I've made space in my inbox, so get your ideas and comments coming in.

Anyone? ....

Come on. What about those of you who criticised JAE? Surely you have ideas on what you want to see?

We need to plan 2015 way ahead to ensure its done right.

any ideas however small show be noted down.

i myself would like to see a few below changes to jae.

bigger fridge

something to make our marque stand out at night (liked the colour changing LEDs)

take part in the group sports events which we never do like the 5 a side.

maybe fundraising doing something at an event to get noticed.

maybe a live camera of the event on the club, (I done this a few years ago)

Yeah of course. I'll stick a thread up over there and put you in touch with the REO for there.

There is Classic Z Register too. Although their website seems to be suffering from issues at the moment, but they have a Facebook page.

This may sound really stooopid....... But is there any way we could have a technical meet and have an experienced Z specialist run through basic work on a Z.....?

Like boost leak testing, setting up timing, diff oil change, electrics, etc...... ????

The usual things that have wear and tear and we would all like to know how to do properly.....

I would personally like to see family orientated events, so I can bring my wife and kids (Beaulieu)...... As well as a few shows I can attend without the wife and kids (Santapod, Trax)..... a bit of a mix...... lol

JAE......

JAE was really good due to the people who attended....... It would be nice to have a board up with pictures of the people who attend with their forum name and their real names to help newcomers......

The marquee needed banners or something letting everyone know who we are.... the flag things are good, but felt a little drowned out by all the other clubs almost shouting who they were with loads of advertising up........

I noticed other clubs brought bean bags and even sofa's for the evening get togethers...... and all seemed to have music on the go with a fire of some sort....... could we have a fire pit and music???

I enjoyed the film we watched.....'Rush'....... the company and even more so that someone remaining nameless managed to put the projector upside-down.......... lol

Are we going for drinks, music, lights and night out orstaying in with a Film, chatting, a few bevies, glass of wine, tea coffee???

We could do both with a film earlier, followed by music and lights in the tent and a cosy seating area outside so people can sit round a fire and just chat......???

Only a few suggestions....

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

Good ideas.

I like the technical meet idea. I'll look more into that.

My initial thought is that such a meet would need to be limited in numbers. Purely because you can only get so many people around an engine bay to see what is going on! Let me look into that more.

I am planning more family based events, although we already do have 3 on the 2015 calender (LakeZ, Coventry, Beaulieu).

Good idea, that. I think the Aussies do similar from time to time.

Goodwood Race Circuit has almost monthly breakfast clubs with different theams, probably wouldn't be worth paying to have out own club stand but attendance is free if your a spectator of if you want to display your cars. Maybe go to some of the appropriate themes with some business cards on the wipers for a bit of advertisement. I go there a lot and it always attracts a good crowd ........ again its free :thumbup1::thumbup1:

Speak to Admin Dan. This thread is purely on meets, and I'm not Admin so can't help with that anyway.
