Or are we on a one way path down the sh*tter?

While getting ready to come to work tonight I hear about 15 kids(7-11yr olds) fighting outside, one of them picks up a dustbin and hurls it into the street.

Then the rest of the inbred little vermin follow the leader an start throwing more dustdins into the middle of the road and start kicking them about, prompting me to open the window an tell the little t*ssers to "GET THE F*CK AWAY FROM MY HOUSE!", off they scarper when a couple of my neighbours come out also.

Now this made me think, when these little f*ckers have kids what the hell are their kids gonna be upto.

Nowadays kids hang around after midnight an there parents dont give a sh*t, so long as there kids arent interupting there McDees or KFC meal in front of the TV!!

Jesus Christ! you got effing kids bringing up kids who cant handle it so let them roam around the streets till there hungry!!

Where is this circle gonna end! Are we gonna have real hardcore no go areas where you fear for your propery and dare not leave your home without a glock an a APC to get around in!!

Sure you could move to a more affluent area but then the gap between the "haves" and the "have nots" get wider and wider creating a very divided society.

Whats the answer?

The majority of kids today dont seem to want to learn(this is my point of view speaking to my teacher friends in Secordary level teaching in London).

Teachers get more abuse from the parents as well!! These are the same parents who back in 1992 left secondary school with no GCSE's,preggers or on drugs etc etc!! I think this is the where the "no respect" issue stems from.

The parents had no respect for teachers/parents etc so their kids end up the same way.

Youth Centers are closing down due to no funding, public playgrounds are having the equipment removed due to vandels and no maintenance budgets. Kids have nothing to do after school except hang around and smash car windows(or sit at home on the PC chatting online to effing perv's pretending to be interested in S Club Juniors). I know one thing, my kids arent going to hanging around street corners after midnight when their between 7-12yrs old!

So where does this leave society?

Give em better education? - They dont want to learn

Leave it to the Parents? - If the parents didnt have respect for teachers or the law what hope do the kids have?

Leave it and get on with your own life? - Then 10 years from now we pay unbeliveable car insurance premiums. Unable to drive though certain areas. The prison system is close to bursting. Criminals get more bold they would kill you and your kids for your widescreen TV and DVD player. Your house has bars on the windows.

Kill em now and let god sort em out? - Trev slaps the magazine into his caribbean sourced H & K MP5 K and picks up his car keys.....

:D

there are words of compassion and great thought from you here on this thread Wendy, if I may say so.

good luck to you and Rob for the start of the new-year - I hope all is good and healthy.

Peace,

(when I say all I mean he/she;) )

Well OK...I've done a few drinkies tonight..but hey, WHAAT an interesting thread.......

Yes, of course we are on the road to oblivion (in a ZX you should get there quicker - but there again mine has been in a garage for six months, hah!)....everyone is the product of their parents and arguably the product of their society.

When, as quite rightly been pointed out, half of the parents are basically kids themselves...it is not exactly a good starting point.

Today's society - especially in this country - worships at the altar of GREED...hey, just maybe that Karl Marx fella knew a thing or two after all!

Nelson...any man that quotes 'How soon is now'.....respect!

It's a shame that Morrisey ended up being such a t*sser..'how can a star that burned so brightly sadly disappear'?

The thing about the police - put it into perspective, they don't have the money to do the job. One of my many brothers is an inspector in the Met. You cannot possibly believe how disillusioned he is with the job...years ago he was questioned on his lack of traffic cautions (parking tickets!). His response was..'do you want me to be target traffic offences or attempt to PREVENT crime'.

The police in this country are in a shit situation - half of the villians that they arrest are out on the streets again in no time. The day of the vigiliante is not that far away....but, therein lies another course of potential evil..........shit, this is beginning to sound like the plot for a movie...hmmmm......reach for the bottle of Absinthe and the L.A phone directory.......

Hello Glen, nice to hear from you, I hope everyone is ok.

The words of wisdom were very hard lessons learned at the hands of another human(if thats what I must call it).

Everyone needs help and guidance to make the right decisions in life, children need more than anyone.

We cannot change the past but with a little help we can all make a difference for the future.

Hugs and kisses

Wendy

P.S. I am convinced it is a boy as I am getting a kicking from hell, he will either be a kick boxer or rugby player for England of course. And only time will tell if I am right.

The sad fact of the matter is so many parents or individuals responsible for care - dont care.

You can see it al the time - kids pushed out of the way when

they are not required. Why have kids if they dont like them?

These individuals should be held responsible and fined

heavily. But that wont happen - you need somebody in charge of this country with morals and who is prepared to do something,

instead of raking in and reallocating the money.

But morals and politicians dont usually go together.

Take any subject you like - firefighters - trains - roads - any

public transport - nhs - taxes - pensions - police -

Ask yourself why we have to have a disaster/strike/collapse/

inquiry before anybody takes an interest and then take a guess

why so many kids are uncared for.

..I came out of work tonight and there was a group of six/seven kids (boys and girls) of about ten years old hanging about outside my shop, they were spitting all over everything and generally being little turds.. I asked them to pack it in, firm and fair like and they just told me to **** off, so I figure I'd tell em to pack it in, adding a couple of swear words of my own and one of the little shits gobbed at me... I lost me rag ffs, if I hadnt walked away I'd have been in court tomorrow for cuffing the little git:(

ok not armed robbery or joyriding but still evidence of youth who neither care or feel any sense of boundaries.

and there is not a damn thing you can do about it :(

Total lack of respect and manners, care to take a guess on their up bringing?

I also think people in this country have lost their innocence and there is a growing dissatisfaction & boredom with life.

Most previously respectable people/systems/establishments have been knocked in most people's eyes. All that's left is selfish headonism.

I also think many stupid ppl have kids because they think they have to - like they have no choice. It's just WHAT PPL DO !

One of the big problems with today is this crap "softly-softly" attitude that seems to be springing up everywhere. Can't let children have competition as it's bad for them, can't let them fail at exams as it makes them feel inadequate, can't teach them for toffee because we don't have the resources, can't discipline them because that offends their civil liberties, or other nonsense.

I can only remember being smacked twice when a child and neither time did it particularly hurt - it was more the shock of having overstepped the line enough to need one. I have a friend who has 4 children. She is a single mother, has been since the youngest were born - they are now 12 and her children are 4 of the best examples I know today. They are articulate, intelligent, polite, appreciative of what they have, rather than clamouring for the latest gadget or brand name.

Children need guidelines, rules - discipline, otherwise they are noisy, screaming brats with no respect for anything.

Think the main problems we face are not the breakdown of UK/Western society, but National problems (terrorism and wars) and environmental problems.

How do environmental problems spawn disrespectful brats?

Not saying there isn't a problem with horrible brats, but there are bigger problems IMHO.

Forgot to mention that there are simply TOO MANY PEOPLE !!:D

We need something radical to come along...........or we'll all be in a mess.:(

I'm gonna keep in with Macca and Bigroy ! Just in case things get physical ;)

The UK population is infact going down. But the influx of imergrents into this country is making it go up.
