While I do love my Zeds The constantt trouble and expense has me thinking of gettingshot of at least one of them. Both ar autos and I am hankering for a manual,(always have been, even though I have been driving Auto Zeds for 3 years now).

Just test drove a 98 S14a 200sx. Full leather in metallic green. I had an s14B before buying my first Z in early 2000. I forgot how fast these cars really are. I think itwould give my UK spec Auto a fright. My SWB Auto TT would wip its arse but thats a chipped TT with 40K on the clock (Although I've blown the Auto BOX recently and havent driven it since June.)

Question

By the 200SX or convert to Manual???????

What the hell is an S14b? Yuo sure you don't mean S14a? 1996 to present with the slanty eyes.

Oh, sell the Zed. ;):)

well id convert to manual, they are just so cool to drive.:D

but then idepending on your finacial situation ect, weigh up the balance, the s14 is a very nice car and would make a cool runaround, but not as nice as a swb 300zx tt manual.

Well, if it's any use, I used to drive a 1997 S14a with an auto box, and got rid of it because I wanted a manual. I've been ghosting these sites looking for a decent TT Z for a month or so now, so I'd describe myself a 'between cars'.

I did think about getting a manual 200SX but decided I should have a go at some crazy exotica and even more power instead! If the search carries on at this rate though, I might have to think again!

Having not owned a 300 I can't really comment on the switch to a 200. I'd say that I consider it a step up to get a car that's 5 or 6 years older than my last one, but is a 300ZX TT!! Having come from an auto 200 I'd never go for an auto 300. But that's just me!

...sell the 2+2tt, keep the swb, buy a na2+2. The na 2+2 will be as fast as the 200, won't keep breaking down, will do 30mpg, people will think it's a tt and you'll still have one of the best looking cars on the road instead of the anonimity of a 200. And fix the swb so that you can carry on eating everything in sight.

good luck

Jack
