Lets hope they fit behind the Decorsa's without a spacer, as my stock calipers were literally mm away from the leg of the alloy.

yh thats my next worry. But ive planned on spacers soon so if they dont ill get spacers and then fit them

good stuff. do when ordering dics do you order evo discs?

The kit I ordered is specific to 300zx to evo brembo upgrade. But id assume the evo ones are the same but honestly couldnt tell you.

do tell more I have only just started looking at bigger brakes

Depends on the type of wheels you have, if you get the correct offset, it shouldnt be a problem, the De-corsa wheels that me and Batman have are pretty close to the stock caliper, so by adding bigger disc and and caliper and therefore using a bracket to extend the diameter to take the caliper, there is a strong chance it could foul the wheel, but i look forward to the results without the spacer.

Would the disk be wider ?. From what ive read most 18 inch wheels (like ours) have no issues. Some 17s lack space due to rim size.

But yh cause of how our spokes are shaped that might cause issues. At least theres always spacers.

btw groover I put 275/35/18 tyres on the rear like we discussed and what a difference it makes mainly looks wise. Fills up the arches better

But yh the way our wheels are it will be intresting to see.

that statement should have been under top paragraph lol

so the brake disc is made for the 300zx ? or is it off a another car ?

its just a 345mm disk. I presume it fits many cars including the zed and evo. Its not custom made for the zed. But im not that mechanicaly minded so couldnt be 100% sure. But as a guess id say if you had my brakes and wanted disks you could search for 345mm disks with the same stud pattern as the zed and they would fit.i know the backing plate behind the disk needs cutting or taking off to accomodate the extra size. But I think you need the bigger brakes for it to work properly. Stock ones probably too small. But im sure someone could tell you for sure. As this is all new stuff for me too

some one will know am sure. I don't know what road to take now

Do some searches on here for brembo upgrade. Thats what I did. It was the size of the calipers after seeing a set in the flesh that made my mind up. Then finding out that the cost wasnt grands also.

300zx = 4x40mm piston

evo brembo = 4x 46mm piston

i have 18" work equips with 25mm spacer and struggled to fit them behind as i have 350mm rotors.

when i spun the wheel it took a slither of paint off the caliper

ok guy but still when looking a discs what ones do you order as in from what car ?

Just ordered some hubcentric spacers. Guess ill have to fit them at a later date. At least its sunny out.
