How much did it weigh Pete, out of interest. I have some solid aluminium bars (70mm diameter x 1300mm long), wondering if it's worth the trip to the scrappy/recycling place.

They need to go to a non ferrous dealer. Differing grades of ali have different prices.

Sounds like your bars are a top grade.

List them on Ebay!!
