After finding out last week that to cure the dreaded "GooseHonk" noise I needed to get a BOV or Dumpvalve fitted instead of the standard recirc valves.

Well I've phoned around and visited various websites but I cant seem to find anything with much change out of £400!!

Does anyone know of anything cheaper or another alternative, any help in this will be much appreciated.

Cheers,

F.T.

You're not going to get anything much cheaper than that I don't think. Problem is you need 2 of everything on a Z :(

I did put a link to the Thai Z site where a guy has made up some pipework to use a single BOV but you probably need metal hard pipes to do it.

Have a search of the forum for single BOV or similar.

Turbo XS x2 with fitting kit is 340.00 from impossible performance.

Are they easy to fit ?.

On a scale of 1 - 5. 1 being my nan could do it and she's in a zimmer frame and 5 being Get yourself a top engineer to do the job.

Yes and no. There is a link on AndyP's site for instructions. But like with any job on the Z be prepared to loose most of your skin.

If your mechanically minded then yes 2 hours, if not then dont try it!

Are HKS jobbies really that good ? r is it just the brand name u r paying for ?

They all dump the boost pressure ?

Think of it terms of farting:

Some BOV sound like a womans fart, sort of ppfhhut squeek. Others sound like a big fat scottish haggis eating mans trump.. Vvvvvvrrt, ta tishhhhh, quack(!)

It is that sort of flatulence you are paying for, not a brand name.

Turbo XS's Suck .... or don't blow as the xase is ?

in comaprioson to HKS jobbies

You've been busy James. You managed to take that off your car and take a picture of it with a nice white back ground. ;) ;).

Got the Message Ammar.

Will see you Saturday even if it is a little damp, as long as it's not chucking it down, I'll get it sorted for you.
