Does anyone know what diagnostic software you can get for a ford focus (2002). I want to be able to read and reset error codes.

 

Any ideas what I could get and what connectors would be needed?

I've got a obdii ELM connector for Ford and somewhere on my laptop I have a freebie Ford datascan.

How urgent are you for it?

This is the freebie Ford software I use. If you have an obdii USA connector you should be able to use it.

I'm in France for a fortnight then away at work.

Not in a hurry mate. Not even for me.

All obd2 are the same and you can get a blue tooth adapter from eBay that will work with the Torque pro app. I have used this myself to pull codes from various different car manufactures. It will also clear the codes once the problem is fixed. The obd2 will not check or reset abs or airbag problems only engine management ones.

 

I can bring mine round next time I’m up and stick it on the car (Ford Focus). Obviously this is not as good as a full diagnostic systems used by most mechanics which will read all codes and give much more information.
