Hi,

My clutch is starting to slip on my Z32 NA 1993

I have been to some local suppliers and they only list the turbo clutch. Is the turbo clutch same as the NA?

Anyone know of a reputable company? Don't want to be in a position where I am fitting the clutch and its the wrong one!

I have a twin turbo with NA box that I put in with twin turbo lightened flywheel/ uprated clutch.

Basically if you use a twin turbo clutch your need the flywheel also and this requires shimming the inside edge of the bell housing to suit the slightly larger diameter flywheel.

If you speak to jeff at zedworld i think he can sort a clutch for an NA.

NA clutch from MJP in the traders section a twin turbo as mentioned is not a direct fit and you would be back to square one with the garage trying to fit one.

Take the opportunity to change the crankshaft seal (engine) and the gearbox input and output seals when you have the gearbox out of the car. The seals do not cost a lot, and takes limited extra time when box is already out.

I recently got NA clutch and seals (+ some other bits) from czp.us. Cost a bit in shipping (and potentially also in import duty - in Ireland it usually slips through the customs net:biggrin:)

So I guess this is the post everyone has been waiting for.... LOL

To say thanks for such a warm welcome to this forum we are offering huge savings on all of the Competition Clutch product range until the end of November.

we have clutches available for both the 300ZX Turbo and Non Turbo models in a variety of set ups to suit your power and driving needs.

For the Non Turbo ZX we have our Stage 2 Organic Carbon Clutch capable of holding 500 BHP at only £350 and a stage 4 paddle kit more suited to aggressive track day of upto 650 BHP at the same price of £350.

Or as already said speak to Mike at MJP... also in our traders section.!!!!

Anyone know the difference between the turbo and non turbo clutch

Been a mission to get a full clutch kit for it. Can get it from the states, but shipping is well expensive

Nissan have them on back order, so that's a no go. Only place I can find is euro car parts, but I know the quality of there stuff is not great.

I am also worried that they are listing the turbo clutch rather than the non turbo clutch. On euro car parts it states the clutch plate has a diameter of 240mm. I would imagine the turbo model would be larger to take the extra power

Cannot remember the exact difference between TT and NA clutch. But not a direct replacement.

MJP (UK based and in trader section) would have them, drop him a line and you get sorted. I got one recently from CZP.US, and they also have them. Both would be stocking genuine Nissan items. I got a non-branded clutch a few years ago (ended up in hurry) and it was a waste of money. It has not lasted well at all, so I would make sure to get good quality (original, Sachs, Excedy or similar). I am sticking with original, since the first that was fitted in the car when produced lasted a long time, and I want to see the back of having to do this again.

One additional seal that I suggest that you get when changing the crank seal is the 'rear oil pan seal' (cost is minimal). I missed to get this, and then it broke when taking the crank seal retainer out. I would suggest to get:

- Crank Seal

- Crank Seal retainer gasket

- Rear oil pan seal

Well you need a n/a clutch if you went and got a tt one you wood need to change the flywheel to a tt then grinned the bell housing down and I think you wood need to use spacers on the start motor I think it 5mm difference
