Subframe and Differential bushes change - time needed?

I had planned on doing the subframe and Differential carrier bushes myself, but the car is quite unpleasant to drive at the moment as all 8 of those bushes are fecked.

I don't have the time to do them DIY so will need to get them done at a garage (I have a choice of 3 that are local with good reps).

What kind of time frame will I be looking at? (Original collars don't need saving as Whiteline bushes include outter collar).

Price isn't an issue, but time is.

To remove/refit (exhaust, driveshaft, handbrake, brakes) its not a complex task at all.

All depends on how the garage will press out the bushings (diassemble or not), and how much of a bastid the bushings are being!

Can be done within a day, my guess.

If you want a quick solution until you have more time, you can fit locking collars much faster.....

I've got the bushes etc already. As I say, I'd planned to do them myself. But work is manic, and I have a number of long distance drives to do in the Zed so it needs sorting soon.

I'd rather not pay the labour twice so will stick with the full new bushes.

I figured on a day, but just needed confirmation, as a day is all I have free to get them done before I drive to South Wales in it.

having done my own it is a pain in the arse and no fun what so ever pain from start to finish

I bet your garage will want more than a days labour

Think you’ll be lucky to get this done in a working day. Having replaced all my bushes last year I easily spent well over an hour on each one of the 4 subframe bushes. Diff bushes were easy in comparison. Add to this the time to take the diff off, frame off, all back on…..

I did not have a workshop with all the best tools to hand but I’d think two days would be more realistic. Just my opinion….
