I decided it was finally time to change my leaky rocker cover gasket, all was well till i put everything back together and now it running like crap. it bearly revs sounds like its misfireing as well. will take it apart tomorrow and retrace my steps and see where ive gone wrong.

Did you change the plenum gasket when you changed the rocker covers? Also when you done them did you do the half moons?

I did also spray some wd40 on connectors becasue they looked a bit dirty

You need to replace the plenum gasket or will run as rough as a badger. My tt is getting it done the now with the rocker covers and half moons

It doesn't matter needs replaced in any case don't forget to torque the bolts also. Only use genuine Nissan gasket also or you will be replacing it again!

Before you pull the plenum again check the injector connections again these could be the missfire issue.

Oh yeah forgot to mention. I slightly damaged one of the hoses on the inlet manifold its on the rear of the manifold driver's side its the one both ends are different sizes. Bloody thing was as hard as a rock.

well had a look again, nothing i can do at the minute need a plenum gasket plus everythings so fragile need to change loads of rubber pipes round the back of the inlet manifold, found a 2 pin connector like the cam shaft sensors just hanging on the back of the engine been looking for ages cant seem to find were its broken. can anyone sort of direct me to someone with the few bits i need and this 2 pin connector as well any idea where on the back of the engine it should have been connected because the wire snaped. Talk about timing i'm moving houses in 2 months want to sort it out as soon as possible. thanks guys

cheers ted you right take it this is a must fix then or can it run with out it

May be your detonation sensor

I think you can delet it I'm not 100% sure I'm sure Jeff will come back on that mate or one of the others lads
