I was a well behaved kid so can't remember being grounded before but I was this morning by the medical centre. I crushed my hand on Monday helping a mate jack down his land rover. In the end it was only really my little finger that was damaged, I was carrying (fumbling and dropping if I am honest) a really dense breeze block when I walloped my right hand between it and a wall. I knew it was pretty bad immediately and instantly put a lot of indirect pressure on the finger base and put my hand over my head. Luckily me and my mate are medically trained SAR Boys so treated the wound to a high standard...

Beamo ran and grabbed a tourniquet and some Loctite and I squeezed like hell on the bottom of the finger, the finger was cold and white and the end segment with the nail on it was like a squished grape. Tourniquet on Beamo gathered my 3 finger ends together and got stuck in (lol) with the Loctite. Now he told me it was left over veterinary glue from his dog at this point, Lies! Anyway this held and we left the tourniquet on for about 5 mins to let it set; now it hurt a lot anyway, like a stubbed toe or a kick in the balls, a sickening mega burning pain... then we slowly released the tourniquet . It hurt so much I threw up haha, but with the amount of banter I was getting from Beamo we were both bad laughing, as the blood returned the nail immediately went black and the finger went every colour and swelled up stressing out the superglue which barely held.

At this point much to Beamo's delight I went into shock, I was so disappointed I started being sick and felt really faint, I told him "Mate, I'm about to F***ing pass out!" laughing hard he was stood with a camera commentating "He is going... ooh he is on his knees!" I think this was supportive as it did help me to barely stay up through the laughter and was given something to bolster my strength...

This passed over 7 mins or so after which I kind of felt all right. So we carried on for an hour and a half and bled his brakes (no longer able to be trusted with bricks or tools at this point I was on light duties on the brake pedal). Then I set off home.

The mistake here was putting the heaters on in the car! This blew my finger end open to look like predator's face! I popped back to Beamo's place to borrow some glue and decided to go to hospital ( Stop the clock he has made the right decision) They burned a hole in my finger nail with a soldering iron and drained what must have been half of all the blood in my body then X rayed it. The finger end looks like a stamped on bag of crisps inside lol. So I am on antibiotics and as I left hospital was given 2 Ibuprofen haha.

It wasn't all bad as the Radiographer was gorgeous and I left a NHS thank you slip thing I found on her desk with my number on it (hasn't replied lol) and we went out for a curry but as I was on antibiotics and couldn't drink I drove the 3 of us in the zed lol.

So that was that, I am now grounded and have had to get cover for my next 2 shifts, so I have ordered a soldering iron, a hot glue gun and some LEDs from groover, that will give me something to do  I have pics of my finger, it doesn't look that bad really but perhaps my idea of bad is quite high. I'll not put them up unless people have a grim interest. I hope this was a laugh for you guys, It certainly has been for the lads at the Flight. To any brickies out there, RESPECT :thumbup1:

Oh dear

I will be amazed if I get to meet her in the flesh, if I somehow was sufficiently charming in a 2 minute photo shoot (agonising blood spattered X ray) and on a note written with a broken hand (looked like the scribblings of a mad man) then... then I have peaked!

Of course you will get to meet her buddy, what did she text you with, your next hospital appointment?.....rofl.....

Signed off for the night, lads I feel brilliant, I cannot believe I have got chatting to a beautiful Radiologist, just shows doesn't it, you make your own luck in this world.

Thank you for all the kind words, I will put up some pics tomorrow if it's a good colour, and let you know how it goes with Kim :-)

EDIT

Thats the colour of my finger, not my cock or Kims backside or anything like that

He who dares :punk:dont show her you are too desperate, there is a fine line between courting and stalking

Well I shouldn't worry with the support of a forum full of charismatic stallions I think I will be alright

You know me so well.......lmao

Brilliant news, I have just had a fantastic date with Kim the Radiographer. Dont laugh too hard but after a costa coffee I took her to a beautiful spot a couple of miles out of Elgin and we fed some ducks! I had a picnic ready and luckilly having done my best guess of what she might like it was all a good choice of food. We sat on my jacket in the sun totally out of the wind for about 2 hours.

Also good news she was as lovely as I remembered haha as I Wasn't at my best last time we met.

And my finger's good enough to work on friday so I only missed 1 day of work!

What a good day.

She drives an original ford Ka, not a bad sign, I know someone who did a 360 in one of those lol.

She hasn't seen or heard about the zed yet, I didn't want to seem too flash having 2 cars, but for a Radiologist she is open minded to me having a motorbike! A purple mx5 is a good first date car :-)

I hope you're right Gary, ill keep you posted, but I think we both have big smiles on our faces today. With that I am going for a run
