need some clarification on third brake light perspex strip red or black?

ok so part number 26590 30P15 is for the third brake light perspex strip. I want to know if the strip is black or red? I thought it would've been black and asked the dealer but they cant confirm or say and they wont return it. Ive seen some cars with the red version maybe its just in the states but I dont want to have to start tinting/spraying it black.

 

So is it black or is it red? can anyone confirm...?

    I always thought the red was down to fading........be very surprised if the one you order will be anything but black.

     

    Wouldn't the red variant if it does exist that is, have a separate part number ?

    It is down to fading.

    Hence why it features on US cars from sunny southern states
