Door sensors and Trims

After spending all day Sunday fitting my Sub and Amp in the back i noticed teo things:

 

1st - My Boot sensor doesnt work, Where is it???? (I think i may have broke the lead!

 

2nd - Can i get better trims for the doors? The two runner strips on the sill are awful, can you get nice metal ones??

 

Hope someone can help!!

    the boot sensor is in the locking mechanism...

    there's a single wire running to the lock, a bit hard to see and get to though..
