No sooner do i get over one nigly problem another starts. Racing a Scooby the other day dropped down a gear and floored it, engine started misfiring, limped home everything checked okay, removed each connector of coil pack one by one, engine tone dropped on only 4 of them, removed coil packs/plugs and swapped them round, still the same 2 cylinders appear to be down, next step i suppose is to test possible faulty 2 injectors, but has this happened to anyone else ??, what particular test confirmed it and please don't tell me you HAVE to remove plenum chamber to do this !! if so i may as well upgrade all 6 with Geddy's ready for future mods, cheers, Smithy. Its usually the power transistor. Do a continuity test with a multimeter if you have one.

oh man i am having the same problem right now,

does it come and go or is it there all the time, cause mine under hard acceloration starts misfiring, then after a while it seems to go away..!!!!

i am stuck and need help fast..

This is exactly what my car was doing before engine got ripped apart. I think mine was doing this on number 5 cyl. Take coil plug off and no drop in engine revs. Baffled my local Nissan dealers! What wouldn't?

I replaced my PTU when it went in to Middlehurst and it still didn't cure it!

Will have to wait until my car is reassembled at SE to truly find out if this is cured. Plus I'm going the whole hog and having the entire wiring loom replaced along with DET. sensor.

Better to be safe...

Oh dear, seems like this could be a common fault, anyway i'm happy now thanks to Ian at Hiteq, car runs like a dream.

Test you can do include unpluging all coil packs put plugs in the ends, remove CAS and slowly turn spindle (ignition on)all 6 coil packs should spark, do the same but with coil packs dis-connected and listen for injectors pulsing, you can also unplug an injector head and take a voltage reading, there may be a duff injector, how to do this is on twinturbo.net, thanks anyway guys, i'm off cruising.
