My old ones are bust due to over heating so I want to know...

 

On a relatively high powered Zed, how important is it to have uprated valve springs? Or are the normal Nissan ones pretty good?

 

And which ones to get?

for the Price of New OEM ones buy the Uprated stronger ones .. Will cope better with Hi RPM and valve bounce

last time i looked they was around £350 to by a complete set ...

and the uprated ones was about the same price m8

 

i do have a complete ok OEM set from engine if needed

Its not power thats the issue its what rpm your engines revs too really,if you have wild cams and supporting mods ie lightened and balanced crank etc i would say you need them.TBH though ive seen some bad overheats where the coil packs have stuck too the cylinder heads but the valve springs didnt suffer.Has the length been measured and they are out of tolerance ?

Thanks jimmer. The stuff is at the engineers and they've said tey definately need replacing. The car made close to 600 at the fly. It has standard cams though

by using measuring equipment and the engines tech spec

any garage can do it?

dont know on that m8 but its done at engineers workshop who build/repairs engines
