I now hate Butyl/Tar and it's the worst stuff I've ever worked with.

Got through it though and got most of it off the car.

The heating for 5 mins didn't work for me.

I went for a bake of around 7mins in the oven itself.

The lights glided apart like butter.

 

No marks on the lenses and no cracks etc.

I have always had my reservations about you using this as a reverse light but you were adamant :rolleyes:, I notice both chambers of your RLP are fog so is this 300ZX your only reverse light ?

 

I don't know the ins and outs of the MOT regs but I expect the white reverse light should be solid ? Have you another white strip on there that you can just spade over to get you through the test ?

It's not a UK MOT requirement to have a reverse light.

I think I can get away with it.

You're right, no reverse light needed for an mot, crazy.

you should have a look at the front side light on an mot thats even funnyer and thats why i can have mine were they are? down on the bottom lip of the spoiler. all we need now is to get rid of front facing nunber plates. that said it looks good mate. not for me but it still looks good.

I agree with the front number plates.

Pointless unless it's the police talking about bloody speed cameras.

That said.... Apparently you can put high output infrared LEDs around your numberplate which will blind a speed camera.
