Wondering if anyone on here can help me out, basically looking at trying to find out who owns a piece of land in my local area. Tried calling the local council but they are as much use as a ashtray on a motorbike!! Anyone got any knowledge of this or even better any contacts that can help?

The land registry should hold all the relevant info.

Was hoping for a free way, land registry want £40!! If I need to go that way then I will.

If thats the difference in price to see who owns a piece of land, can you imagine up much more tax would be payable up here!! Will defo be voting no come the time, no way im paying for some egotistical fat b*****d's pipe dream!!

Might help there are still costs but it looks like its going to be cheaper than £40
