Hi Jeff,

"spasebo" sounds Russian - I think - or at least eastern european. ish.

If it won't cause WW3 to point a possible Russki at a Latvian, perhaps he would like to try http://www.300zx.lv ? It's in English but if he speaks Latvian or they speak Russian.....

Whats that little box next the the ECU?

Ask if he can get a photo of it what he means.

By the sounds of it he is saying that he has replaced all the components inc the fuel pump, ECU but not the little box next to the ECU.

However could his problem be the PTU? Sounds like he knows his stuff if he has replaced those other parts.

How do you know if its your PTU? Will it not spark?

Stuart

I think he's talking about the auto box ECU there - the plug is a blue one, about half the size of the ECU plug, and it's in that kinda place..

It could well cause his car not to start - depending on where the ECU gets the neutral/park signal from? (there perhaps)

But then, if it was that, it wouldn't crank either, would it..

Erm.. I'm outta ideas now..

Call me a cynic but that looks like an email from the Duffman himself.

If it is he should be well proud ;)

Well, it ain't Greek.

Them Greeks don't need to ask, they usually know it all anyway! lol

Judging by the langauge and grammar I'd say he's from England !

Have to agree with AndyP, my money's on South London :D

Tim

LMAO !.

Spasebo is Russian for Thank you. Pronounced spa-see-ba.

So I would agree that he is from South of the river :D .

If you are still reading this post... read no further I can't help with the blue box. I've never even lifted the pannel to see my ECU :( .

Sounds to me like that car is either missing the auto ecu OR, more likely, an HKS FCON. This comes with a harness that attaches to the original ecu plug, and breaks out the signal wires for injectors etc... If I had a car with an HKS FCON or whatever, I'd remove it before taking it to the scrappies too - it costs around £1k LOL. Try and get him to take a picture.

CheerZ,

Andy

Sorry???

Look at the header of the Email. It will tell you the IP address of the sender. Then use Whois to see who the provider of that IP address is. If its a UK address on the result its from the UK ;)

Nah, that's definitely native South African.

(just had to get you back for the mini-chimp shot!)
